Job Description

AIM Lévis is currently looking for a dispatcher to join its great team! The person is primarily responsible for taking service calls and organizing the work of the drivers accordingly.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Plan and organize drivers’ routes in an optimal way to ensure maximum use of the truck fleet
  • Assign routes to drivers (in-house software)
  • Respond to internal customer calls efficiently, courteously and professionally
  • Enter information into the computer system to document calls and perform appropriate follow-ups
  • Be the resource person for drivers regarding their working hours and resolve problems when necessary
  • Be able to weigh the trucks on our scales and enter them into our system
  • Process customs paperwork requests (USA drivers)
  • Maintain and track inventory in our supply yards on a daily basis
  • All other related tasks
Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • You are able to juggle complex problems to find the best solutions
  • You have very strong analytical skills
  • You have extensive knowledge of the geographic regions of Québec, Ontario, the Maritimes and Maine
  • You are available outside of business hours to handle driver emergencies
  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and dispatch software (Samsara)
  • You are bilingual, both spoken and written (an asset)
