What does a dispatcher do?

A dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the movement of vehicles, personnel, or goods to ensure efficient operations in industries such as transportation, emergency services, or logistics. They communicate with drivers or field staff, assign jobs or routes, monitor progress, and respond to any issues or emergencies that arise. Dispatchers use specialized software and communication tools to track locations and optimize schedules.
