Allstar Ambulance is a growing Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance and non-emergency medical transportation provider serving Stanislaus County and surrounding communities. We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services while delivering exceptional customer service to our healthcare partners and patients.
We are currently seeking an experienced Dispatcher/Scheduler who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands EMS operations.
Job Summary
The Dispatcher/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating ambulance and non-emergency medical transportation requests, assigning trips, monitoring field operations, and ensuring efficient daily scheduling.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions while handling multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
  •  Answer incoming transportation requests from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, dialysis centers, physician offices, and private clients. 
  •  Collect and accurately enter patient and trip information into dispatch software. 
  •  Schedule same-day and future transportation requests. 
  •  Dispatch ambulance and NEMT crews efficiently using dispatch software. 
  •  Monitor driver locations and trip status throughout the day. 
  •  Reassign or adjust schedules as operational needs change. 
  •  Communicate professionally with EMTs, drivers, healthcare facilities, and internal staff. 
  •  Ensure trips are assigned promptly and completed on time. 
  •  Coordinate with management regarding operational issues or service delays. 
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of dispatch activities. 
  •  Verify transportation authorizations and required trip information. 
  •  Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism. 
  •  Follow all company policies, HIPAA requirements, and operational procedures. 
Qualifications
  •  High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Previous experience as an EMS Dispatcher or Ambulance Dispatcher is required.
  •  EMT certification or previous EMT experience is highly preferred. 
  •  Strong computer and data entry skills. 
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  •  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
  •  Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. 
  •  Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure. 
  •  Reliable, punctual, and dependable. 
  •  Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays when needed.
