Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Dispatch Assitant Manager  to support our team by managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, dispatching services, and ensuring efficient communication between patients, couriers, and healthcare providers. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Job Responsibilities
  • Answer Incoming Calls: Assist callers with inquiries, including taking STAT information, sending reports, and responding to general questions.
  • Patient Scheduling: Contact patients to schedule home call appointments.
  • Data Entry & System Management: Enter STATs and home calls into the system while ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitor & Track STAT Requests: Input STAT information into spreadsheets, dispatch STAT calls, and track their progress in real time.
  • Daily STAT Verification: Research and confirm that all STATs are correctly entered into the EMR system.
  • Time Documentation: Record dispatch and arrival times for all STAT calls.
  • Requisition Management: Enter requisitions into the EMR system and create new patient accounts as needed.
  • Critical Reporting: Call facilities to report critical lab results promptly.
  • Courier Dispatching: Assign and schedule pickups for COVID-19 and other specimen collection tasks.
  • Scanning & Documentation: Scan requisitions and billing information for record-keeping.
  • Task Completion Oversight: Ensure that all home calls and STATs are assigned and completed in a timely manner.
  • Managing the morning team members
  • Assisting the Dispatch Manager with reporting and performance metrics
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
