Hercules Concrete is currently seeking a bilingual Dispatcher to work out of our corporate office in Warren, MI. We're looking for someone that is a highly motivated and driven individual on the quest for a challenge. In this role, the Dispatcher works hands-on coordinating concrete delivery operations to ensure overall safety, quality, efficiency and profitability.

Hours: 1am - 11am, M-F, Occasional Saturdays incentivized at $50/hour
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2+ years' experience in concrete dispatching.
  • An understanding of QC/QA for the ready mix concrete industry.
  • Knowledge of concrete production equipment, processes, and maintenance programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and is able to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • The ability to use multiple forms of communication such as multi-line telephone system, mobile phones, two-way radios, emails, and other forms of communication methods.
  • The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Union contract knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Authoritative figure who will lead drivers daily

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Answers incoming calls from our plants, our drivers, and our customers.
  • Utilizing maps (on the computer) to execute directions accurately and selecting the most efficient route possible.
  • Process information from drivers in the field, the sales team, and our customers to make sure everyone is on the same page.
  • Efficiently schedule drivers to meet production demands.
  • Balancing driver hours to assure productivity and customers' needs are met while ensuring compliance with applicable DOT laws.
  • Maintaining radio contact and or phone contact with drivers.
  • Assist with driver recruiting and retention.
  • Must be willing to work long hours and weekends during the peak season (there is a lucrative incentive for weekend work)
  • As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for providing quality customer service.
  • Perform other duties assigned, or assist others in their duties as needed.
