Overview
Port St. Lucie Area
Assist with the daily operations of the Transportation Department.
Responsible for dispatching routes, coordinating schedules, preparing expense reports for drivers, and supporting loading and operational activities.
The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficient transportation operations.
Responsibilities
  1. Support the Dispatch Supervisor in the planning and dispatching of daily driver routes.
  2. Provide route assignments and updates to drivers in both Spanish and English.
  3. Monitor drivers and offer updates or adjustments as necessary to ensure timely deliveries.
  4. Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and delivery times.
  5. Review driver-submitted expense reports to verify accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  6. Assist in coordinating driver schedules to ensure sufficient coverage for all routes and shifts.
  7. Ensure that drivers are informed of schedule changes and route updates promptly.
  8. Provide support in supervising the truck loading process to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
  9. Ensure that orders are accurately loaded in accordance with delivery schedules and customer specifications.
  10. Provide general administrative support to the transportation department, such as preparing reports or communicating with other teams.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus).
  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatching role preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, including driver hours of service and safety compliance requirements.
