HIRING IMMEDIATELY: DISPATCH CLERK/LOGISTICS COORDINATOR IN ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Dispatch Clerk / Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for maintaining day to day operations and assuming the responsibility for maintaining the physical assets of the property. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transportation Scheduling: Coordinate daily local, regional, and national pickups and deliveries for international air and ocean shipments. Manage dock door appointments for incoming carriers.
  • Carrier Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for local trucking companies, airline Container Freight Stations (CFS), and owner-operators. Provide drivers with accurate routing, load details, and facility protocols.
  • Documentation Management: Generate, review, and process critical shipping documentation, including Delivery Orders (DOs), Bills of Lading (BOLs), Air Waybills (AWBs), and packing slips to ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
  • Data Entry & Tracking: Update freight milestones in real-time using our freight management systems (such as CargoWise or similar ERPs). Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and immediately escalate transit delays.
  • Customer Support: Communicate effectively with internal import/export agents and external clients regarding shipment status, pickup coordination, and estimated arrival times.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve carrier-related issues, missing documentation, or driver delays swiftly to prevent bottlenecking on the warehouse dock.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or transportation management. A background specifically in international freight forwarding or airport cargo operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience utilizing warehouse management or freight tracking systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to handle high-volume email and phone traffic with carriers and clients.
  • High attention to detail, strong geographic knowledge of the Chicagoland/O'Hare area, and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to pass a standard background check and TSA screening
