As we continue our expansion into the Houston market, we are seeking a highly organized and motivated Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator to join our team.

This position is critical to the success of our daily operations and requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and customer service.

Position Summary

The Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily charter operations, communicating with drivers and customers, monitoring trip progress, and ensuring all trips are executed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment for charter trips.

Monitor trips in real-time using GPS and fleet management software.

Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, delays, and customer needs.

Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure equipment availability and readiness.

Verify driver qualifications, hours of service, and DOT compliance requirements.

Review and process trip paperwork and driver documentation.

Assist customers with trip updates and operational questions.

Handle after-hours operational issues and emergency situations when necessary.

Maintain accurate records of trips, driver assignments, and vehicle utilization.

Work closely with sales, operations, maintenance, and management teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Assist with trip planning, routing, hotel accommodations, and logistics coordination.

Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Qualifications

Previous dispatch, transportation, logistics, or operations experience preferred.

Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements preferred.

Experience with Samsara, charter bus operations, or transportation software is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
