What you will be doing:
The Field Solutions Engineer will serve as a critical bridge between Luminys products, our dealer network, and internal engineering and product teams. This role blends Field Application Engineering (FAE) and Technical Product Management responsibilities, supporting sales efforts, resolving complex field issues, and providing structured technical feedback to drive continuous product improvement and growth. This role will have a strong emphasis on solar powered and off-grid surveillance deployments/troubleshooting.

What your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Conduct on-site dealer and customer visits to diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot hardware and system installations.
  • Investigate and analyze root causes of product and system failures, distinguishing between installation errors, environmental factors, and manufacturing defects.
  • Create detailed technical reports and feedback loops for engineering and product teams to improve product quality, reliability, and design.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for dealers to ensure proper installation, configuration, and usage of Luminys solutions.
  • Draft and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, application notes, and best-practice manuals.
  • Test, validate, and provide feedback on new product prototypes in real-world environments prior to market release.
  • Support the sales team with advanced technical demonstrations, solution design assistance, and key account inquiries.

What you will need:
  • 5–10 years of experience in Field Application Engineering, Technical Support, or Technical Product Management roles.
  • Strong technical background in off-grid solar power systems (required), including integration with CCTV/surveillance or IoT hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with DC power systems, MPPT charge controllers, and network configuration.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex technical data and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer and dealer sites as required.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple field cases and projects simultaneously.
