Job Description

Represent TRW Automotive as an on-site Supplier Resident Release Engineer at GM for EPS Steering Gear. This includes interacting with various levels of GM Engineering and Management to resolve issues and ensure flawless program execution.


RESPONSIBILITIIES
Release TRW parts into GM''''''''s system
Create / Update Program Summary Sheets
Coordinate and Manage GM customer led meetings and design reviews
Support weekly meetings to discuss open issues and lead them to fast resolution/ closure
Release software /data files into GM systems
Support GM validation activities and bench level testing
Assist GM Engineering in troubleshooting electrical hardware /software issues at vehicle and component level. Lead communications between TRW and GM, including reporting issues
Support product launches at GM vehicle assembly plants.
Coordinate releases for Service Support and warranty review and analysis
Support Math data and Drawing submission.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or System Engineering
Experience with Automotive electrical systems and functional sub-systems
Ability to troubleshoot using GM Tools or supplier specific tools, such as CAnape and DPS tool preferred
5+ years experience with RELEASE ENGINEERING responsibility at GM PREFERRED
Working knowledge of GM E2 system to process Work Orders, PRTS system for issue resolution, APM/GDPS for BOM Change management
Additional Comments:
Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be results-oriented, work well within a team environment, and be a US citizen or Permanent Resident (no sponsorship).
Compensation:
$66,000 - $85,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits
