Job Title: SaaS Applications Lead

Job Summary:

DQE Communications is seeking a SaaS Applications Lead to own the strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day operation of the business applications, SaaS platforms, and operational systems that power our organization. This role is ideal for an experienced technology leader who has owned an enterprise application portfolio end-to-end. Success in this role requires the ability to lead vendor relationships, and work cross-functionally with executive stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Sales, and Product to align business objectives with scalable technology solutions.

The ideal candidate combines proven leadership of a SaaS/business application portfolio with hands-on systems administration depth. This individual will own platform strategy, the multi-year roadmap, and operational execution for DQE’s core systems, including, but not limited to, NetSuite, SiteTracker, and the enterprise data warehouse. This position requires some one with experience leading vendor strategy, governance, and integration architecture across the portfolio. Hybrid work environment, Must be local to the Pittsburgh area.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Own the multiyear roadmap and strategy for DQE’s SaaS application and business systems portfolio, balancing new capability, operational reliability, and technical debt
  • Lead and mentor business systems analysts and administrators, setting standards for documentation, governance, and operational excellence
  • Partner with executive and functional leadership across Finance, Operations, Sales, and Product to align platform investments with business priorities
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies
  • Direct administration, configuration, and operational support of DQE’s SaaS and business systems portfolio, including ERP, CRM, reporting, and operational tooling
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate needs, and recommend scalable technology solutions
  • Own the lifecycle of DQE’s core platforms such as, NetSuite (ERP), SiteTracker, and the enterprise data warehouse, along with supporting CRM, HRIS, and BI tools
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement enhancements, integrations, and new solutions
  • Develop documentation, workflows, governance standards, and system best practices
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, user access, and platform health
  • Assist with reporting, dashboards, analytics, and operational data management initiatives
  • Lead vendor strategy across the portfolio: contract negotiations, renewals, performance management, escalations, and consolidation decisions
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and AIenabled tools, including platforms such as Claude, to improve workflows and productivity
  • Support governance initiatives related to system administration, data management, and operational processes
  • Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated experience leading a SaaS or business application portfolio, including roadmap ownership, vendor strategy, and team leadership
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite (ERP), SiteTracker, or similar enterprise platforms used in telecom or serviceprovider environments
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and translating operational needs into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple systems, projects, and stakeholder priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and nontechnical teams
  • Experience working with vendors, thirdparty providers, or managed service partners
  • Experience with data warehouse platforms, reporting systems, or business intelligence tools
  • Handson systems administration experience with businesscritical platforms
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and operational process management
  • Experience with workflow automation, integrations, or APIdriven platforms
  • Preferred: handson experience applying AIenabled tools (e.g., Claude) to automate reporting, documentation, or operational workflows
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, infrastructure, or technologyfocused business environments
  • Experience with project coordination or solution implementation initiatives
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience supporting enterprise business systems.
  • 7+ years of experience in business systems, SaaS administration, or enterprise applications, including at least 2 years leading a team or owning a platform portfolio endtoend
