About the Team

WEBTOON is the world's leading story tech platform, connecting readers and creators across the globe. Our Tax team supports a multinational corporate structure spanning the United States, Canada, Japan, and Korea, partnering closely with leading advisory firms (KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PwC) to manage the company's global tax position as it scales.

About the Role

We're looking for an International Senior Tax Manager to lead international tax matters for WEBTOON's global corporate group. Based in our Los Angeles headquarters, you'll be the in-house expert on U.S. international tax rules as they apply to our multinational operations, working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and outside advisors to manage compliance, structuring, and cross-border transactions across our U.S., Korean, Japanese, and Canadian entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own international tax matters across WEBTOON's multinational corporate structure, including entities in the U.S., Korea, Japan, and Canada

  • Apply and advise on U.S. international tax concepts - including GILTI, Subpart F, BEAT, and FTC - as well as OECD Pillar Two implications (e.g., Global Minimum Tax, QDMTT), as they affect the group's global structure and transactions

  • Lead transfer pricing analysis and reviews for cross-border intercompany transactions

  • Design, evaluate, and help implement intercompany transaction and settlement structures

  • Partner with external advisors (Big Four and law firms) and internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, FP&A) on tax compliance, planning, and audit matters

  • Monitor changes in U.S. and international tax law and assess impact on the company's global tax position

  • Support tax provision and reporting processes as they relate to international operations

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of progressive international tax experience at a public accounting firm, law firm, or in-house tax function at a multinational company

  • Working knowledge of U.S. international tax and transfer pricing principles

  • Experience with cross-border transactions, tax treaties, and withholding tax matters

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures with teams in Korea, Japan, and Canada

Nice to Have
  • CPA license or JD/tax attorney credential

  • Experience with cross-border assignments or transactions involving Korea or Japan

  • Big Four public accounting or global corporate in-house tax background

  • Experience in tech, media, or entertainment industries

Salary Range and Description
$100,000 - $200,000 / annually
