within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Medical and Preventive Services. Job Responsibilities Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Manages all epidemiological programs in a health district.

Gathers, analyzes and monitors data regarding communicable diseases within a health district. Ensures implementation of timely disease intervention strategies to decrease the prevalence of such diseases. Will oversee day-to-day clinic based HIV prevention operations, including HIV/STI testing, counseling, PrEP navigation, and status-neutral linkage to care services.

This position ensures the consistent delivery of client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally competent services. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and support frontline Communicable Disease staff delivering intake, pre/post-test counseling, and HIV/STI screening. - Ensure adherence to testing protocols, documentation standards, and state/federal reporting requirements.

- Monitor client flow, testing volume, and service quality at the Neighborhood Union Health Center (NUHC) - Provide technical assistance, training, and performance evaluations for Communicable Disease staff. - Coordinate clinic scheduling and staffing to ensure service coverage during extended and mobile hours. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited college or university and four (4)years of experience in a related area; or six (6) years of experience in a medical-related field or Licensure as a registered nurse and three (3) years of nursing experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Communicable Disease Spec 3 (HCP082) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years as a Communicable Disease Specialist in HIV Counseling, Testing, Linkage to Care, and Partner Services Additional Information Performance Aptitudes: Data Utilization: Requires the ability to synthesize, hypothesize, and/or theorize concerning data involving modification of existing policies, strategies, and/or methods to meet unique or unusual conditions. Requires the ability to do so within the context of existing organizational theories and management principles. Human Interaction: Requires the ability to function in a managerial capacity for a division or organizational unit; includes the ability to make decisions on procedural and technical levels.

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to operate andcontroltheactionsofequipmentandmachinery,requiringthemonitoring,adjustment,regulation,and/or setting of multiple conditions. VerbalAptitude:Requirestheabilitytoutilizeawidevarietyofreference,descriptive,advisory,and/or design data and information. Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform moderately complex algebraic and geometric operations; ability to utilize principles of basic probability and statistical inference.

Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to apply principles of logical or synthesis functions; deal with concrete and abstract variables; and analyze major problems that require complex planning for interrelated activities that can span one or several work units. Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and/or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
