Overview

The Associate Financial Analyst conducts monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, month-end close activities, and business performance reporting. This position partners closely with operations, supply chain, procurement, and accounting teams while supporting strong internal controls and providing actionable insights to management. The associate financial analyst will need to have strong analytical and problem- solving skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
  • Support accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and vendor inquiries.
  • Monitor purchase orders, goods receipts, and aging items to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity within financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance analysis.
  • Conduct inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing finance activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, standardization, and reporting enhancements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, management presentations, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year results.
  • Partner with accounting, procurement, operations, and supply chain teams to support business objectives and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Participate in special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, accounts payable, or related analytical role preferred.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling. Experience with Power BI or other data visualization preferred.
  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Manufacturing, supply chain, or operational finance experience preferred.
