Job description

First Baptist Church of Eureka (Eureka,MT) – Pastor

First Baptist Church of Eureka, MT (https://www.fbceureka.org) is seeking a pastor who will collaborate with the congregation and Diaconate and develop a path forward for the church together. We seek a pastor with the ability to lead us in living out our congregational strengths to the glory of God - worship in Christ’s love, deepening Christian fellowship within the church, and bringing others to Christ through involvement in the community.



Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead Sunday worship; engage in preaching, teaching, and directing the general activities of the church in order to fulfill the church's mission as set forth in the New Testament.

• Care of the general spiritual welfare of the congregation.

• Work collaboratively with the Diaconate and Trustees

• Hire and supervise non-elected church staff


Qualifications

• Theological education, graduate level preferred

• Lead pastor experience

• Is or willing to be ordained with Mission Northwest


Expectations

• Values involvement in the community through the local ministerial association and attendance at community functions

• Becomes a pastor for the community

• Comfortable with praying with others, visitation, and flexible hours

• Uses different styles of preaching (expository and topical, for example)

• Build consensus to lead the boards and the congregation

• Delegate responsibility and authority as appropriate

• Communicates with transparency
