ACC Kids Assistant - Part Time
Family Ministries - Glen Burnie, Maryland


Job Summary:
ACC Kids Assistants are responsible for providing support to the ACC Kids Ministry through
weekly tasks that support our ACC Kids environments for Nursery through 5th Grade,
including volunteer scheduling, curriculum preparation, and other weekly office tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Ministry Development:
● Assist the ACC Kids Team with recruitment, training, equipping, and retaining a
strong volunteer team for Sunday services, Wednesday evening service,
KidVenture Week (our VBS program), special childrens events, and occasional
childcare needs.
● Assist with operational processes including volunteer training, check-in systems, and
safety protocols.


Programming & Curriculum:
● Edit and prepare curriculum for Sunday morning Wednesday evening
programming (Nursey - 5th grade).
● Assist with curriculum preparation for KidVenture Week, classes and trainings, family
events, and special events as needed.
● Create curriculum supply lists and ensure needed materials are ordered on time.
● Setup and cleanup classrooms for Sunday morning services and Wednesday
evening services.
● Perform other office duties as assigned.


Communication & Coordination:● Coordinate ACC Kids volunteer weekly scheduling.
● Effectively communicate with new volunteers to promote interest in joining the ACC
Kids Team, including assisting with new volunteer shadows and team on-boarding.
● Engage, encourage, and celebrate existing ACC Kids volunteers to retain an
excellent team of committed volunteers.
● Utilize excellent communication skills to communicate with volunteers and staff.

Safety Security:
● Uphold all safety and security protocols in collaboration with ACC’s Watch Team
(safety security team).
Qualifications Skills:
● A passionate commitment to kids ministry and seeing both parents and children
grow in their faith.
