Job description

Portable Restroom Driver/Operator

Doodie Calls, LLC. provides sanitation services for residential, construction sites, special events and disaster relief. We foster an environment of mutual respect and believe in the power of collaboration and mutual support.

Job Summary: Portable Restroom Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the truck's pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck.

Job Classification: Full-time & Part-time; non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Location: Greater Baton Rouge/Port Allen, LA Area

Pay Range: $22 to $27

Responsibilities:
  • Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; safely controls the pump as required to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck.
  • Hook up and pull trailers.
  • Performs and documents pre-operation safety checks on the vehicle prior to embarking on the route.
  • Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
  • Facilitates proper maintenance and mechanical service on truck by appropriate mechanics.
  • Transports waste to the proper location for processing and/or disposal.
  • Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and documents the same.
  • Maintains logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years required
  • Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends during the storm season.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License or similar classification to operate a pump truck is required.
  • CDL license preferred
  • Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends) when needed.
  • Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be located in the greater Baton Rouge/Port Allen, LA Area
