Description and Requirements
General Description: Responsible for handling marine, auto, property, and general liability claims.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspect losses for adjustment parameters.
  • Review claims and meet with clients.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Retain and monitor activity of outside adjusters/appraisers and other experts.
  • Communicate with management and underwriting team on larger, more complex claims.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate resolution of complex claims. Work in accordance with company guidelines and best claims practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 5+ years of general liability insurance claim experience, specialty claims insurance adjustor experience, or a combination of both.
  • High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required. College degree preferred.
  • Requires claims adjusting license in all operating states.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of working with specialty and general liability claims.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems involving varying viewpoints and to develop viable solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to handle larger and more complex claims.
