Job description

Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a Procurement Analyst to support category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement reporting as part of SBP's corporate procurement organization.

Responsibilities
  • Builds the data foundation that powers sourcing decisions through spend baselining, market analysis, market event support, reporting, and ongoing supplier relationship management
  • Build and maintain spend baselines across assigned categories, andvalidate volume, supplier, and location data
  • Coordinate with branch and functional stakeholders to collect data and validate findings
  • Clean, reconcile, and analyze large datasets to identify sourcing and savings opportunities
  • Assist in developing category strategy materials, fact packs, and stakeholder-ready summaries
  • Support development of RFP/RFI materials, including requirements gathering, bid sheet construction, and response evaluation
  • Analyze supplier bids and market data to identify savings opportunities and negotiation levers
  • Support supplier onboarding, compliance tracking, and performance management
  • Maintain category trackers, dashboards, and reporting to support program-wide visibility
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Min 3years of experience in procurement, operations, finance, or a related analytical role
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large dataset management
  • Comfortable using AI to enable tactical tasks
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations
  • Preferred: Experience supporting sourcing events and negotiations
  • Preferred: Experience with procurement, spend-analytics, ERP, or contract-management platforms
  • Preferred: Experience in distribution, manufacturing, building products, or any other multi-site organization
  • Travel up to 10% of the time
