Job description

The Wood Products Sales, Marketing & Supply Chain organization is seeking a proven commercial leader to drive our National Accounts sales team. This team owns growth, influence, and execution with our largest builder, dealer, buying group, and retail customers, managing business relationships that span the full breadth of Weyerhaeuser's product and service offering. This position will office remotely in a major metro hub and will report to the VP of Wood Products Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain.

This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates located within the United States. You'll have the flexibility to work from your home office while collaborating with colleagues across the country. Dallas/Atlanta are preferred locations

Responsibilities:

The Director of National Accounts will lead a team of National Account Managers who serve as trusted advisors to our largest customers. This leader will mobilize Wood Products resources and people to build, negotiate, and execute winning customer programs and strategies. The team serves as one clear voice for the engineered wood, lumber, and panel product lines, and distribution services-aligning the company's strategic priorities with customer needs, deploying the right experts at the right time, and positioning Weyerhaeuser to win.

The Director of National Accounts owns customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes for the company's largest accounts. Through disciplined development of the National Accounts team and direct executive-level customer engagement, this leader enables its team to negotiate, secure, and expand long-term strategic partnerships, creating measurable value for customers and Weyerhaeuser. In addition to leading and developing a high-performing team, daily activities include financial programming review, RFQ preparation and coaching, solutioning issues that arise for accounts, and providing coaching and support for team members navigating complex negotiations. Providing internal insights, gaining approvals, and speaking as the voice of the customer to senior leaders is also an expectation of this role.

  • Proven leader with 10 years of wood products or building materials sales leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in marketing, business, construction, engineering, or a related field.

  • Expert in consultative and large-account sales, with a proven record of identifying customer needs, shaping solutions, and delivering stronger commercial outcomes. 

  • A deep understanding of building material and residential construction markets 

  • Experience utilizing the following systems: rebate accruals and payments, CRM tools, financial program modeling, and sales processes for large accounts 

  • Strong track record of leading complex negotiations, resolving tradeoffs, and delivering decisive win/win customer outcomes. 

  • Self-driven, decisive, accountable, and innovative leader who moves teams from strategy to execution. 

  • Demonstrated commitment to building talent, raising performance standards, and developing high-impact teams. 

  • Proven ability to forge, deepen, and leverage executive-level relationships through disciplined collaboration.

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

  • MBA with an emphasis in marketing, business, or a related field

What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $159,900-$240,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Benefits: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. We offer a pre-tax Health Savings Account option which includes a company contribution. Other benefit options are also available such as voluntary Long-Term Care and Employee Assistance Programs. Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
