Job description

We seek a highly motivated and flexible Float Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will provide pharmaceutical care across multiple locations, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, committed to providing excellent patient care, and excels at working in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional pharmacy services and manage patient care in various locations.
Ensure accurate dispensing of medications and maintain proper documentation.
Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and health management.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Provides work direction and guidance for technicians in performing technical pharmacy functions. Is responsible for checking technician's work to maintain high standards of pharmaceutical care.
Assumes responsibility for pharmacy operations in the absence of the direct supervisor.
Manage inventory and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Conduct health screenings and administer vaccinations as needed.
Share your health, wellness, and self-care knowledge with staff and patients.
Support the implementation of pharmacy initiatives and programs.
Accept all assignments in your assigned region.
Willing to drive up to 100 miles for your assignment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelorโ€™s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the State of Wisconsin.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in diverse environments.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and pharmacy software systems like PioneerRX.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a pharmacist.
Certification in immunization administration.
Experience with medication therapy management (MTM) and MedSync.
