Job Description:

This role oversees the teams, processes, platforms, and external partners responsible for delivering scalable, high-performing digital experiences that support pipeline generation, brand awareness, customer engagement, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Reporting to the VP, Digital Marketing, this individual serves as the operational leader for all web-related initiatives and is responsible for ensuring the company's web presence effectively supports marketing, brand, product, and business objectives.
This role leads cross-functional teams spanning web development, SEO, and content management while partnering closely with Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, IT, and external agencies to drive execution excellence, operational scalability, and continuous optimization across the web ecosystem.
This is a strategic leadership and operational management role focused on directing teams and overseeing execution rather than hands-on development work.
What You'll Do
Web Operations & Digital Experience Leadership
  • Lead the overall strategy, governance, prioritization, and operational management of insightsoftware's web ecosystem across corporate, product, campaign, and acquired web properties.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the VP, Digital Marketing on all web operations, infrastructure, platform, and development-related initiatives.
  • Translate marketing and business objectives into scalable web roadmaps, operational priorities, and execution plans.
  • Ensure the website ecosystem supports organizational goals related to pipeline generation, customer experience, brand evolution, SEO visibility, and conversion optimization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Brand, Operations, IT, and RevOps teams to align website strategy with broader company initiatives.
  • Support major digital transformation initiatives including rebrands, website consolidations, platform modernization, and acquisition integrations.
  • Drive operational visibility and accountability across all web-related initiatives and workstreams.

Team Leadership & Operational Management
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary web organization spanning web development, SEO, content operations, and technical web support functions.
  • Oversee workload prioritization, resource allocation, intake management, and execution processes across the web team.
  • Establish and maintain scalable workflows, SOPs, SLAs, governance models, and QA processes to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Manage and coordinate external development agencies, CRO partners, contractors, and overflow resources as needed.
  • Facilitate alignment between internal stakeholders and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively and aligned to business priorities.
  • Build operational processes that support scalability, faster execution, improved communication, and cross-functional transparency.
  • Provide leadership during periods of high operational complexity, including major launches, migrations, and rebranding initiatives.

Website Platform & Infrastructure Oversight
  • Provide strategic oversight for website platforms, CMS environments, hosting infrastructure, integrations, and supporting martech systems.
  • Partner with internal technical teams and external vendors to ensure web properties remain stable, secure, scalable, and optimized.
  • Oversee the prioritization and resolution of website bugs, technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and platform enhancements.
  • Ensure websites follow modern standards related to accessibility, responsive design, SEO, UX/UI, privacy, and performance optimization.
  • Support governance and oversight of CMS management, deployment coordination, release planning, and web infrastructure changes.
  • Partner with IT and platform teams on DNS management, security protocols, hosting environments, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
  • SEO, AEO, CRO & Website Optimization
  • Partner with SEO, analytics, and CRO stakeholders to continuously improve website visibility, engagement, conversion rates, and customer journeys.
  • Oversee implementation of technical SEO best practices including site architecture, redirects, taxonomy, metadata standards, schema markup, and page performance optimization.
  • Support experimentation and personalization initiatives in partnership with internal stakeholders and external optimization agencies.
  • Ensure website performance and user experience improvements are incorporated into operational planning and prioritization processes.
  • Partner with analytics and reporting teams to support accurate website tracking, attribution, and performance measurement.
  • Website Migration & Integration Leadership (as needed)
  • Lead operational coordination for acquired website migrations, platform consolidations, and digital integration initiatives as needed.
  • Oversee migration planning related to redirects, content consolidation, taxonomy alignment, SEO preservation, and platform transitions.
  • Support the transition from legacy web environments into modern web architectures and CMS ecosystems.
  • Help establish scalable governance and operational models capable of supporting a growing multi-brand web ecosystem.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading enterprise web operations, website management, or digital platform teams within a complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of modern website ecosystems, CMS platforms, web infrastructure, SEO, CRO, and digital experience best practices.
  • Experience overseeing modern CMS and headless CMS environments such as Storyblok, Contentful, WordPress, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with modern web frameworks and architectures such as Astro, React, or equivalent technologies.
  • Strong operational leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Experience building scalable operational processes, governance frameworks, and intake/prioritization models.
  • Experience managing external development agencies, vendors, and distributed technical resources.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, web accessibility, website performance optimization, and UX/UI principles.
  • Ability to translate business priorities into actionable operational plans and web initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience operating within B2B SaaS or high-growth technology organizations strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise marketing technology ecosystems including Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics, tag management systems, and attribution/reporting platforms preferred.

Minimum Experience
  • 7+ years of experience leading website operations, web platforms, or digital experience functions.
  • 5+ years of people leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise-level or multi-brand website ecosystems preferred.
  • Experience supporting website migrations, platform consolidations, or digital transformation initiatives preferred.
  • Experience working closely with SEO, AEO CRO, analytics, and digital marketing teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, Information Systems, Web Technologies, Business, or related field preferred.
