About the role
As Director, Website Merchandising, you will report to the VP, Ecommerce and lead the website merchandising strategy for Rejuvenation.com, shaping how customers experience the brand, discover products, and move through key shopping journeys. You will own the site merchandising roadmap, category experience strategy, storytelling placement, launch merchandising readiness, site merchandising standards, and ongoing optimization priorities.
This role is accountable for connecting digital merchandising decisions to business outcomes, including revenue, conversion, AOV, sell-through, margin, and inventory productivity. You will partner closely with the Site Operations leader and other ecommerce, Brand, Merchandising, Inventory, Creative, Analytics, and Technology partners to ensure strategies are executed with quality, accuracy, and speed.
The ideal candidate combines customer-first merchandising instincts, strong analytical rigor, financial acumen, brand sensibility, and senior-level cross-functional leadership. This role requires the ability to influence peers, align senior stakeholders, and lead a high-performing team within a fast-paced, matrixed DTC organization.
Responsibilities
1) Website merchandising strategy & roadmap
- Lead the annual and seasonal website merchandising strategy for several divisions on Rejuvenation.com, aligned to brand priorities, financial goals, marketing moments, product launches, and inventory realities.
- Own the site merchandising roadmap across categories, ensuring clear priorities, sequencing, and alignment with business goals.
- Define and evolve key customer shopping journeys by segment, project need, category, room, style, and purchase intent.
- Own website merchandising performance insights across revenue, conversion, AOV, sell-through, margin outcomes, traffic productivity, and category performance.
- Translate customer behavior, sales trends, inventory signals, and site performance into clear actions that improve business results.
- Establish a regular performance rhythm and communicate insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead the strategy for category shop experiences, including product exposure, sequencing, storytelling placement, taxonomy inputs, navigation, and discoverability.
- Partner with Brand Marketing and Creative to bring seasonal stories, product launches, category priorities, and customer inspiration to life on-site.
- Ensure Rejuvenation.com delivers a cohesive, brand-right, and commercially effective customer experience across categories and adjacent channels.
2) Financial performance accountability
3) On-site customer experience & storytelling
4) Optimization, analytics & testing
- Establish a performance rhythm (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to review sales, traffic, and customer behavior.
- Lead optimization efforts across site merchandising, using data to identify opportunities and prioritize action.
- Partner with Analytics, Site Operations, and Technology to evaluate performance, test opportunities, and customer experience improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement through page refreshes, product exposure changes, navigation improvements, content updates, testing, and prioritization shifts.
5) Merchandising readiness, site standards & cross-functional execution
- Own merchandising readiness for key launches, seasonal moments, category initiatives, and marketing campaigns, including content readiness, shop placement, QA standards, and merchandising priorities.
- Define and maintain merchandising standards for category pages, product sequencing, storytelling modules, visual merchandising, and ongoing shop maintenance.
- Partner closely with Site Operations to ensure merchandising priorities, execution timelines, and customer experience needs are clearly aligned.
- Lead working sessions with Product Merchants, Brand Marketing, Creative, Inventory, and Site Operations to drive decisions and remove blockers
- Influence tradeoffs between storytelling, customer experience, product priorities, inventory constraints, operational capacity, and financial outcomes.
- Communicate strategy, performance, risks, opportunities, and recommendations clearly to senior cross-functional partners.
- Lead, manage, and develop a growing team; set priorities, clarify ownership, coach talent, and build scalable ways of working.
- Build team capabilities in digital merchandising strategy, analytical thinking, business ownership, cross-functional influence, and execution quality.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, curiosity, speed, and high standards.
