CompleteRx is seeking a relationship-driven Pharmacist Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth and expand our presence among hospitals and health systems. In this role, you will leverage your pharmacy expertise and industry knowledge to build trusted partnerships with healthcare executives and key decision-makers across a multi-state region.

This unique opportunity is for a pharmacist leader who understands hospital pharmacy operations and is passionate about developing executive relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and helping health systems improve stronger clinical, operational, and financial outcomes through innovative pharmacy management solutions.

As a member of the Business Development team, you will be responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with hospital and health system C-suite leaders, generating new business opportunities, leading the sales process, and securing long-term pharmacy management partnerships. Your ability to connect operational pharmacy challenges with strategic solutions will be instrumental in driving organizational growth and delivering value to our clients.

What You Will Do

Business Development

  • Develop and execute territory and account-specific sales strategies, including proactive prospecting, lead generation, follow-up, and pipeline development.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within prospective and existing clients.
  • Ability to communicate CompleteRx services, differentiators, value proposition, and business benefits clearly and persuasively to Director, VP and C-suite hospital leaders.
  • Knowledgeable of hospital pharmacy operations, the acute care hospital market, and CompleteRx services sufficient to engage prospects, build credibility, and advance sales opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze assigned sales territory, including competition, opportunities, and challenges, and translate insights into effective account strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly sales updates and participate in recurring business development, staff, and company meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sales activities in the CompleteRx call reporting database.
  • Support related marketing initiatives, campaigns, and projects that advance business development objectives.
  • Travel up to 30% with overnight stays.

Executive Relationship Management

  • Ability to initiate, develop, and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers and prospective customers.

Sales Presentations & Proposals

  • Develop and deliver hospital-specific presentations and proposals to prospective clients at the Director, VP, and C-suite levels.
  • Ability to develop professional, client-specific proposals and presentation materials.

Trade Shows & Conventions

  • Attend relevant industry trade shows and conventions to identify prospects, strengthen market presence, and support business development efforts.

What You Will Need

Requirements:

  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or health system setting.
  • Minimum three (3) years of hospital pharmacy leadership or management experience.
  • Experience communicating with hospital executives, administrators, clinical leaders, or VP-level stakeholders, with strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of hospital pharmacy operations, including: staffing, workflow, compliance, financial performance, and pharmacy service delivery.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to develop business development, consultative selling, prospecting, and lead generation skills.
  • Healthcare services sales, business development, or account management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
