Job Duties:
Completes routine planning, installation, maintenance, inventory, programming and recovery efforts of network cabling, hardware, and associated equipment to maintain data and telecommunication technologies.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Future responsibilities will include: telephone system administration, equipment quoting and purchasing, card access systems, etc.
  • Provides technical support for network fiber circuits
  • Reports and documents network fiber, usage, and/or signal conduit routes
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots routine network cabling, hardware issues, user requests, and reports utilizing established diagnostic resources under direct supervision
  • Reviews and provides network maintenance enhancements
  • Writes, reviews, and updates network installation documentation to meet specific operational requests
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for work order responses and specified institutional networking projects and updates to ensure adherence to timelines and quality expectations
  • Installs, configures, maintains, replaces, and monitors routine network cabling, hardware, and system security components
  • Communicates and coordinates with customers on planned installation or emergency recovery activities

Required Qualifications:
  • 2 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel,Teams), Axis Communications software, Milestone XProtect Smart Client, Atlassian Jira Service Desk
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, climb ladders, interpret color codes, use power tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Education:
  • Associate's Degree or 2 years of related experience
