The Role

The Account Dirctor II, Identifies and develops new Large Enterprise sales opportunities, provides product solutions, ensures customer satisfaction, and maintains positive ongoing relationships to maximize sales for the company. Introduces company products and services to new and/or existing customers. Responsible for the implementation of strategic and tactical sales account plans. Develops and maintains accurate sales and/or revenue forecasts and management of quota funnels.
 

The Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans for large enterprise customers, including acquired and existing accounts, with a focus on identifying, developing, bidding, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales and revenue quotas.
  • Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders and C-level decision makers while leading complex, end-to-end enterprise sales cycles across technical, financial, procurement, and executive decision-making processes.
  • Apply a consultative, value-based selling approach to align Lumen's full portfolio of solutions-including WAN/SD-WAN, cloud, security, edge, and communications services-to customer business challenges and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop strategies to retain and expand revenue through cross-sell and upsell opportunities, partnering with cross-functional teams to design, position, and close customer solutions that increase total customer spend.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and weekly funnel reporting while using AI tools to support customer research, account planning, daily tasks, and presentations.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and changes within customer organizations, providing insights and recommendations to sales leadership to strengthen Lumen's customer position.
What We Look For in a Candidate

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, with a focus on large accounts and consistent quota achievement.
  • Proven success closing complex, high-value deals and managing long sales cycles.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience engaging C-level stakeholders and building trusted relationships.
  • Working knowledge of the following products and services (e.g., WAN/SD-WAN, cloud, security, edge, and communications) or similar telecom/technology solutions.
  • Requires at least 50% travel outside of office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into large, complex enterprise environments within telecom, cloud, or technology sectors.
  • Strong territory planning and strategic account management capabilities.
  • Ability to leverage data and CRM tools to drive pipeline management and forecast accuracy.
  • Experience in team-selling environments with technical and customer success partners.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$109,649 - $146,192 in these states: KS, MO
