Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Director, Technical Learning and Pipeline Development to join the Talent and Organizational Development team supporting Operations and Technology (O&T) and Corporate Functions. Reporting to the Head of Talent and Organizational Development, this new role will partner with Engineering, Cyber Security, Technical Operations, HR, and other senior executive leadership to establish and maintain a technical learning ecosystem that enables our technical talent to deliver on the strategic priorities of the Company. From nurturing and building talent pipelines to designing and operationalizing the opportunities that motivate, support, and simplify upskilling for our technical talent, this role offers significant ownership and the ability to directly deliver value.

Here you can:

  • Learn Strategy & Design
    • Partner with leadership across Engineering, Cyber Security, Technical Operations and HR to clearly define an adaptive Enterprise Technical Capability Framework aligned with Business priorities and emerging technologies.
    • Partner with Technology leadership to forecast emerging skills (AI, cloud, automation) and to align learning initiatives with business transformation.
    • Develop a multi-tiered, blended learning ecosystem - foundational, advanced, and expert-level programs – with connectivity to career paths.
    • Lead and evolve existing early career technical development rotational programs (Media Tech Associate and Intern programs) in alignment with the needs of the Business.
  • Program Development
    • Design and deliver learning solutions (e-learning, instructor-led, microlearning) for technical skills, certifications, and emerging tech.
    • Establish design standards for technical content to ensure consistency and quality.
    • Curate and manage vendor relationships (e.g., Pluralsight, LinkedIn Learning, etc.) in partnership with Legal and Sourcing teams.
    • Curate and manage talent pipeline relationships (e.g., America on Tech, Reel Works, etc.) in partnership with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Talent Acquisition (TA) teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong, collaborative relationships with technology team leadership and Executives, HR leadership, TA, CSR, Legal, Sourcing, vendors and O&T technical employees in order to successfully deliver on responsibilities.
    • Establish consistent governance processes in partnership with stakeholders to effectively manage programs and strategy.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
    • Establish KPIs for learning effectiveness and ROI.
    • Use analytics to track employee engagement and impact on technical performance.
  • Technology Integration
    • Leverage LMS and emerging learning technologies (AI-driven personalization, adaptive learning) to enhance user experience.
Qualifications

Here you'll need:

Preferred candidates bring a combination of education and experience across both people and technology domains. This may include:

  • A degree or certification in a people-focused field (e.g., HR, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Instructional Design) or a technology-focused field (e.g., Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering), and
  • Professional experience that demonstrates exposure to both people- and technology-oriented work.

Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in technical learning and/or technology-driven environments.
  • Proven success in designing large-scale technical learning programs.
  • Solid understanding of technical domains (cloud, DevX, automation, AI, cybersecurity).
  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
