Job Description

  • Manage ongoing relationships with individual and business tax clients.
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual and business tax returns and supporting workpapers.
  • Provide proactive tax planning and identify opportunities to reduce tax exposure and improve financial outcomes.
  • Research tax issues and help clients navigate changing federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Explain complex tax concepts clearly and confidently to clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and financial records across multiple client engagements.
  • Manage multiple tax projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Use accounting and tax technology including QuickBooks, CCH, Engagement, and similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across accounting and advisory services to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license in Delaware required.
  • 4+ years of individual and business tax return preparation experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, corporate tax, and tax planning.
  • Experience managing tax clients and providing consultative guidance.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop required.
  • CCH, Engagement, or comparable tax and accounting software experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines accurately.
