We are partnered with a well‑established CPA firm in Wilmington, DE that is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing tax practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who enjoys leading engagements, mentoring staff, and working closely with clients and firm leadership on complex tax matters.

The Tax Manager will play a key role in managing client relationships, overseeing tax compliance and planning, and helping guide the development of the tax team.

What You'll Do
  • Review and approve federal, state, and local tax returns of varying complexity
  • Assume responsibility for complex individual and business tax engagements
  • Manage and delegate tax preparation work to staff and senior accountants
  • Conduct and oversee tax research projects to support accurate and efficient outcomes
  • Participate in client meetings and tax planning discussions
  • Serve as a technical resource for tax staff and accounting/audit team members
  • Manage client relationships and act as a primary point of contact on tax matters
  • Oversee and manage governmental tax examinations; represent clients before taxing authorities when needed
  • Ensure timely, accurate flow of tax returns through the tax preparation process
