Job description

Position Summary: The EHR Systems Trainer & Support is a key member of the organization who focuses on training employees to utilize their skills at the top of their licensure and/or degree. This position will be responsible for all aspects of new-hire training related to electronic documentation and work with all departments to identify continuing education needs. Management of on-going requirements of the EHR application is critical, as is ensuring effective end-user support. This position will be responsible for master clinical applications and optimizing the applications for specific workflows. The EHR Systems Trainer & Support will also be a key member of the Training Program and work directly with other training staff, Nurse Educator, Lead Dental Assistant, Lead LPN, Lead PSR, Dental Clinic Coordinator, and PH/QI Director. The EHR Systems Trainer & Support position requires the ability to adapt to change as needed. The EHR Systems Trainer & Support must possess and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and skill in areas of healthcare applications, technology and/or evidence by experience in providing classroom and/or on-site training in health information systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Possess high school diploma or equivalent
• Hold a current and valid Licensed Practical Nursing license or certification in medical assisting and/or dental assisting.
• At least 3 years of direct experience with an Electronic Health Record platform
• Previous training experience preferred, healthcare experience a plus
• Possess basic keyboard skills and computer knowledge
• Must demonstrate accuracy, proficiency and efficiency from approved training program
• Possess cognitive skills necessary to understand medical terminology
• Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude at all times
• Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality at all times
• Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required
• Must maintain excellent attendance • US work authorization is a precondtion of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorization visa.
