We are seeking a Corporate Environmental Sustainability Manager to lead and support global environmental sustainability initiatives across our operations. This is a high visible/impact role reporting to the Corporate Director of Environmental Affairs and Sustainability, where you’ll collaborate with senior leadership across the organization, drive data-driven strategies, and champion our global sustainability vision. This role can sit in our Salt Lake City, UT, Decatur, AL, or Amesbury, MA location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with site teams to estimate GHG emissions, waste, water, and other sustainability metrics. Manage sustainability data collection and reporting for GHG Scopes 1, 2, 3, waste, and water.
  • Develop technical content and best practice tools for sustainability data collection and communicate with senior leadership.
  • Drive a world-class sustainability culture by working with various departments and functions to improve reporting, risk mitigation, and communication.
  • Monitor and communicate evolving sustainability regulations and their impact on operations.
  • Lead or support sustainability initiatives and disclosures to third parties like CDP, EcoVadis, and TCFD.
  • Support operational compliance and continuous improvement projects to reduce energy, GHG emissions, water use, and waste. Support ISO14001 and 50001 certifications 
  • Lead Scope 3 roadmap and life cycle analysis (LCA) projects and to help establish systems and processes for Scope 3 and LCA.
  • Oversee strategic SBTi process and 3rd party validation of data, and develop new sustainability targets, including net zero ambitions.
  • Prepare and deliver data summaries and presentations on sustainability performance and compliance to stakeholders.
  • Participate in trade associations and mentor site EHS staff to foster a strong global sustainability culture.

Your boarding pass (qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, civil or chemical or environmental engineering or science, environmental studies, or equivalent technical degree.
  • 7+ years of experience leading and/or supporting corporate sustainability programs (e.g., carbon accounting, Scope 1, 2, 3 reporting/validation, waste reduction and water stewardship) and environmental sustainability compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in compiling, reviewing, analyzing, and managing environmental sustainability data (e.g., Scopes 1, 2, 3 emissions, waste, water consumption, product carbon footprint).
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple technical projects/tasks.
  • At least three years of experience in voluntary disclosures, including but not limited to CDP, EcoVadis, TCFD, etc.
  • The ability to travel up to 25%, including global travel, with no travel limitations throughout Hexcel’s operating footprint.
  • Experience or knowledge in operational EHS is preferred.
