Raytheon is seeking a Director, Program Management for the Paveway portfolio of programs. This role reports to the leader of the Domain Awareness and Precision Strike (DAPS) Product Area Directorate (PAD) within the Strategic Sensors & Precision Strike (SSPS) Sub Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The Paveway Program Director will manage a complex portfolio of programs across various life cycles with a broad set of domestic and international customers.

The Paveway Program Director will be responsible for execution of a distinct set of programs to include development, new production, depot and refurbishment, sustainment, engineering services, and aircraft integration. Leadership across multiple functions and with other RTX businesses is a critical component of the role as well as a strong financial acumen and familiarity with key program tools and processes such as RLPM, CORE, EVMS, EACs, and LRP. A critical element of this role will include driving new business. This includes strategic expansion of platform integration, continued product sales internationally, and shaping domestic customers procurement levels and/or divestiture timing. A significant portion of the portfolio is international business across Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract types, therefore shaping international customers is a large focus of the role. International travel will be required.

Due to the complexity of this portfolio, setting a strategic vision for both new business and the strategy of execution will be required. The Paveway Program Director must be able to communicate this strategic vision to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Program Director will lead a talented team where career development, high performing team fundamentals, and a positive program organization are paramount.

This is an onsite position in Tucson, AZ, Woburn, MA, Huntsville AL, McKinney, TX or Aurora, CO. Relocation is not available.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive new bookings for product sales and manage the many new business captures across the team.

  • Develop strategic roadmaps for the future of Paveway and operationalize the strategy.

  • Manage the starts and stops in various production lines to ensure strong staffing profiles to support the future business.

  • Create a roadmap for inventory consumption and risk mitigation plans.

  • Execute current offset projects, as well as partner with the Global Offset team to identify new projects to meet obligations.

  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, develop controls and reports that accurately measure progress, identify potential problems in time for corrective action to be taken, and ensure the timely delivery of contractual commitments.

  • Establish and maintain key program metrics, define program milestones/critical path/tactical direction and performance to program budgets and schedules.

  • Develop strategies, manufacturing plans/roadmaps, long-term supplier agreements, and advancement of next generation technology.

  • Travel domestically and internationally (15-20%) per the demand of the program.

Qualifications We Require:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 12 years experience.

  • Program leadership or similar operations leadership experience in managing technical, cost, schedule, and requirements.

  • Experience briefing business executives and senior customer representatives.

  • Experience managing risk, cost, quality, and schedule performance.

  • Experience in production programs.

  • Experience in program capture and proposal.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start, with ability to obtain special access.


Qualifications We Value:

  • Strong proficiency in developing and presenting Strategic Plans, AOP, Technology Roadmaps, and planning to senior management, and responsibility for executing approved plans.

  • Ability to manage, track and report metrics and progress through EAC reviews and management reviews with internal and customer leadership.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
