Job Description

Allied Universal Technology Services is seeking a Director of Strategic - Government Programs to lead construction and security integration projects totaling over $75 million. This role manages Program and Project Managers, and Field Installation Teams across regions, ensuring compliance with contracts, security standards, and client expectations. The Director oversees all phases of execution-from planning to commissioning-focusing on operational excellence, budget control, and quality assurance.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Leadership & Team Development 

  • Manage strategic installation operations for a $75M+ government portfolio while guiding Program Managers through concurrent construction and integration projects 
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, succession planning, and compliance-focused audits 
  • Collaborate across regional leadership, Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure program alignment and success 

Program Oversight & Delivery 

  • Ensure compliance with contract scope, schedule, budget, and federal regulations (FAR/DFARS, NISPOM) 
  • Oversee resource planning, manpower forecasting, and subcontractor performance across sites 
  • Conduct monthly reviews of project progress, performance, cost metrics (CPI/SPI), while tracking key performance metrics across projects  

Financial, Compliance & Client Engagement 

  • Strong business acumen with experience in P&L ownership, project margin management and operational forecasting, while driving financial performance, including margins, change orders, overhead recovery, and approval of cost estimates and bid strategies 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic government clients, serving as executive sponsor and company representative in high-level meetings and briefings 
  • Monitor compliance with UL 2050, ICD 705, DoD, and DHS standards, implementing corrective actions and partnering with FSO teams to maintain clearances 
  • Conduct quality audits to ensure installation standards, documentation, and commissioning meet contract and regulatory requirements 
  • Support business development through technical expertise, pricing strategy, and execution credibility 

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE): 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum of ten (10) years in program or installation leadership positions within the construction, security integration or mission-critical environments 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience driving operational and financial performance while demonstrating strong financial acumen and a proven ability to build and develop teams 
  • Success managing large, multi-site programs or project portfolio's exceeding $50M+ aggregate value, with experience managing projects involving access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and SCIF construction 
  • Current driver's license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events) 
  • Willingness and ability to travel to remote locations up to 40% 
  • Ability to collaborate across stakeholders and regions, applying resultsdriven problemsolving to support client growth, employee engagement, and profitable business outcomes 
  • Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office and (BI) Business Intelligence tools for metrics analysis, reporting, automation, and presentations   

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 
  • Previous Strategic Accounts or National Accounts experience in the federal government industry 
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, NISPOM, UL 2050, ICD 705, and other federal security directives
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher) 

BENEFITS and COMPENSATION: 

  • Salary Range: $105,000 - $155,000 + 20% bonus potential + $195 biweekly auto allowance + gas card
  • Medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance 
  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days 
  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law
