Job description

About Vega
The $250B insurance claims industry runs on fax machines, phone tag, and adjusters buried in paperwork. Cycle times stretch for months. Data is locked in legacy systems. And the workforce is aging out faster than it's being replaced.
Vega is the premier AI-native claims TPA built to replace that entire stack. Our team is equal parts experienced insurance operators and modern technologists. We care deeply about delivering superior outcomes for our clients, and we want builders that get their hands dirty shipping solutions that move the needle.
Our results: 10x YoY revenue growth, and on track for $XXM run-rate in under 2 years. Backed by marquee VCs like General Catalyst, Lightspeed and Valor.
The Role
We're looking for someone to help us scale intelligently as Vega grows.
This is a high-impact role at a fast-growing company redefining one of the largest industries in the world. You will work on a variety of mission critical strategic projects alongside our CEO, Head of BizOps, Head of Product, and Head of Ops.
No two weeks will look the same, and no project will be too small or too large. You might be building the GTM strategy for a new segment one week, and then another week - help define pricing strategy or drive our customer onboarding strategy with Product, Eng and Ops.
We believe there's real value in being together as a team. We come into the office 4 days per week, creating space to collaborate, move quickly, and build strong relationships with the people we work alongside.
What You'll Do
  • Partner with executive leaders (CEO, Head of BizOps, Head of Product, etc.) to define and prioritize the most critical strategic questions facing the business
  • Own high-priority, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end - from scoping and analysis through execution and measurement
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses - market sizing, competitive landscape, unit economics - and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and design process improvements that drive efficiency and margin across the business
  • Develop and maintain critical operating metrics and reporting cadences, communicating insights to senior stakeholders in a clear, compelling way
  • Serve as a connective layer across Product, GTM, and (post-)Sales teams - aligning stakeholders, facilitating decisions, and removing blockers

Who You Are
  • 2-5 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, and/or BizOps at a high-growth technology company
  • You prioritize speed and action, above all else
  • You thrive in ambiguity - you don't need a perfect brief to get started
  • You've proven the ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish
  • You are analytical, a structured problem solver, and comfortable with financial modeling, data analysis, and building narratives from numbers
  • Collaborative and "no ego" - you build trust quickly and lead through influence
  • Owner mentality - you take accountability for outcomes, not just outputs
  • Comfortable toggling between strategy and execution: happy to design the framework one day and configure the system yourself the next
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and how it reshapes the way large traditional industries operate
  • Nice to have - MBA

Benefits
  • Competitive Salary
  • Equity - giving you direct stake in the future of an AI-native industry leader.
  • Top-tier medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401k with company match.
  • Flexible PTO and a work from home stipend.
  • A fast-paced, high-talent density team that values transparency and shipping fast.

We set our salary ranges using compensation data from companies similar to our stage and size. For this role, the estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. Vega offers equity for all full-time employees, which is not included in the range listed above and will have an impact on your overall compensation.
Vega is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. If you're interested in this role, but do not meet 100% of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply. We'd like to consider you for this position and roles that may be a fit in the future.
