Job description

At Entegrata, we help law firms turn data into decisions. We deploy a turnkey data lakehouse platform that consolidates siloed legal, operational, and financial data into single sources of truth, enabling unified reporting and AI-driven innovation. Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Indianapolis, we’re a fast‑growing, venture‑backed SaaS company on a mission to be the data platform of choice for the top law firms in the world.

The Role

We’re hiring a Director of Solution Engineering to be the technical backbone of our sales process, the subject‑matter expert on the Entegrata platform who guides firms through evaluation, architecture, and adoption. You’ll partner closely with sales throughout the cycle: leading demonstrations, running technical deep dives and infrastructure overviews, and responding to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires. You’ll report to our VP of Sales and operate as a senior individual contributor building the solution engineering function from the ground up.

This is a founding role. There’s no existing team or playbook to inherit—you’ll define how solution engineering works at Entegrata, and lay the groundwork to grow the function as we scale. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with a proven ability to execute who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role—someone who knows what great looks like and is ready for the opportunity to build a function from the ground up.

What You’ll Own
  • Product demonstrations. Lead compelling, technically credible demos of the Entegrata platform tailored to each prospect's environment, data landscape, and priorities.
  • Technical deep dives & infrastructure overviews. Lead in‑depth technical sessions with prospects' IT, security, and data teams, walking through platform architecture, infrastructure design, and integration approach in the detail needed to move a technical evaluation forward.
  • RFPs & RFIs. Own the technical response to RFPs and RFIs, translating platform capabilities into clear, accurate, compelling answers.
  • Security questionnaires. Partner with our security and engineering teams to complete security questionnaires and support prospects' due diligence and vendor risk reviews.
  • Sales‑to‑Customer Success handoff. Own a clean, well‑documented handoff from sales to implementation, carrying technical context, firm‑specific requirements, and open questions forward so nothing is lost in transition.
What You’ll Partner On
  • Field sales enablement. Partner directly with the sales team, sitting alongside sales through active evaluations to help prospects navigate their demo requirements, technical questions, security concerns, and evaluation milestones in real time.
  • Customer success & post‑sale support. Partner with Customer Success and Implementation Engineering and stay engaged with select customers post‑sale where deep platform expertise is needed to support a successful launch.
  • Product & engineering. Work closely with product and engineering to ensure prospect feedback and technical requirements make it into the roadmap.
  • Function building. Partner with executive and sales leadership to establish the tools, playbooks, and processes for solution engineering at Entegrata as the team grows.
Must‑Have Qualifications
  • Sales engineering experience. 5+ years in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical pre‑sales role, ideally at an enterprise SaaS or data platform company.
  • Modern data platforms. Hands‑on experience with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Cloud & data architecture. Comfort working across cloud architecture, data pipelines, and integration concepts; Azure experience a plus.
  • Customer‑facing communication. Track record of leading technical demos and discussions with both business and technical stakeholders, up to the C‑suite.
  • RFPs & security questionnaires. Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and completing security questionnaires (e.g., SIG, CAIQ) in an enterprise sales context.
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
  • Legal industry or professional services experience.
  • Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric certification.
  • Experience building a sales engineering or solution engineering function from scratch at an early‑stage company.
Logistics

Location: Remote (US), or hybrid from Indianapolis, IN.

Reports to: VP of Sales.

Scope note: This is a founding role for the solution engineering function; you’ll be the first hire, with room to grow the team as we scale.

What We Offer
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k plan with match
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Company holidays
  • The chance to shape a company's sales strategy from day one and grow with it

If you’re energized by fast‑moving companies, love being the technical face of a growing platform, and want to build a function rather than join an existing one, we’d love to talk. Apply here.
