Job description

Siepe is a fast-growing technology company headquartered in Dallas, TX – focused on helping investment managers turn complexity into clarity. We build software and data solutions that give hedge funds and financial services firms the visibility, speed, and confidence they need to make better decisions – faster.

Our platform delivers a unified source of truth that empowers our clients with real-time, actionable insights. We don’t just serve the industry – we help modernize it!

Siepe is profitable, privately held, and growing fast. We offer more than just competitive pay and great benefits—we offer the chance to do impactful work alongside sharp, driven teammates in a culture that rewards curiosity, initiative, and follow-through. Whether you come from finance, tech, or are charting a new path, you’ll find meaningful problems to solve, real ownership, and the momentum to grow your career with purpose.

We're looking for an engineering leader who owns the technical delivery of Siepe's integration layer between Solvas, our Middle Office systems, and our client-facing Portal as well as third-party systems. This role is accountable for building and operating reliable data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and version data in support of downstream workflows, reporting, and client experience.

This role is ideal for a delivery-oriented leader with deep T-SQL expertise and strong ETL fundamentals who can drive disciplined estimation, execution, and operational maturity for mission-critical integrations.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and mentor engineers responsible for data integrations and warehouse-quality data pipelines.
  • Own end-to-end technical delivery for Integrations work, from scoping and estimation through production support.
  • Design and evolve ETL/ELT pipelines for loading, normalizing, and versioning data across Solvas, Middle Office, and the Portal.
  • Design and expose data access APIs and platform endpoints (Databricks, Snowflake, REST) enabling clients' internal applications to consume their Siepe data securely and at scale.
  • Establish standards for data consistency, concurrency control, and integrity (transactions, isolation levels, idempotency, reconciliation).
  • Define and enforce data quality controls: validation, audit trails, lineage, and exception handling.
  • Partner with our Database Adminstration team to drive performance tuning across SQL Server objects (stored procedures, functions, indexing strategies, partitioning) used by pipelines and consumers.
  • Partner with product, operations, and client-facing teams to translate integration requirements into executable delivery plans and SLAs.
  • Build operational readiness: monitoring/alerting, runbooks, incident response, and continuous improvement for integration reliability.
  • Evaluate and apply modern data platform patterns and tooling (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, CDC/streaming) where they improve scalability or resiliency.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate development, improve test coverage, and reduce cycle time without sacrificing correctness.
What You’ll Bring
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of delivery teams.
  • People management experience overseeing team execution, performance, and daily operations - assigning work, mentoring team development, and contributing hands-on to complex technical initiatives.
  • Prior experience in consulting or professional services environments with direct accountability for delivery outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ownership of estimation accuracy, scheduling, and delivery commitments.
  • Advanced T-SQL skills with strong experience in data modeling, transformation, and performance to scale for high-volume applications.
  • Experience building data-centric solutions, dashboards, and reporting systems.
  • Solid understanding of modern software development practices, architectures, and integration patterns.
  • Experience designing or supporting integrations with third-party or client-owned systems, including APIs, data feeds, cloud data platforms, or enterprise tools.
  • Practical experience applying AI tools or techniques within engineering workflows or solution delivery.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Financial services experience (structured finance, loan operations, middle office data workflows).
  • Experience implementing data observability practices (freshness checks, anomaly detection, automated reconciliation).
Must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the country of employment without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
