Regional Director Operations - Clinical Services & Operations

This role is a unique hybrid, functioning in a dual capacity as both the operational leader (ROD) and the clinical leader (MCS) for the region. The Regional Operations Director (Clinical Services) is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and clinical management of the region. They will drive business outcomes and strategic growth while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Geography includes rural West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky (6 clinics total). Relocation eligibility is available for qualified candidates.

This leader partners with Divisional and Regional Operations leadership to align clinical strategy with performance priorities. Beyond setting direction, the Regional Director is accountable for execution-ensuring strict adherence to quality improvement plans, regulatory compliance, and operational KPIs. Success in this role is defined by the ability to stabilize variance, drive consistency, and deliver sustained improvements in patient care and safety across the region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance: Oversee nursing and technical services for patient treatment. Conduct trend analysis of clinical outcomes and independently develop and implement plans of correction for any clinical quality issues. Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations governing patient care services (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, etc.).
  • Operations & Financial Management: Manage regional P&L, budget forecasting, and inventory to optimize financial performance and strategic growth.
  • Teammate Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to facility administrators and clinical teams. Direct all teammate activity including hiring, promoting, performance development reviews (PDRs), and disciplinary actions. Foster a positive, inclusive work culture aligned with DaVita's Core Values.
  • Physician & Patient Relations: Foster strong strategic relationships with nephrologists, medical directors, and hospital partners. Ensure comprehensive modality education and exceptional patient care experiences.

Education & Requirements:

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment is REQUIRED.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare management experience preferred; multi-facility dialysis management experience strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in DaVita clinical applications (CWOW, etc.).
