The Clinical Director/Manager serves as the primary on-site leader for the clinic and is accountable for the clinic’s clinical performance, daily operations, and family experience.
This role is the first line of leadership for staff and families, responsible for answering both clinical and operational questions and ensuring services are delivered with quality, consistency, and efficiency. In addition to clinical leadership, the Clinical Director/Manager maintains a working understanding of the clinic’s financial performance, including utilization, staffing costs, and service capacity, and uses this insight to inform staffing, scheduling, and waitlist decisions. This role balances clinical judgment with operational and financial awareness to keep the clinic running effectively and sustainably.

Location: On Site - Servicing 2 Clinics
Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 6:00pm
Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually
Includes: Retention Bonus and Relocation Assistance
ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities:
● Serve as the on-site clinical and operational leader for the clinic, providing real-time decision-making and issue resolution.
● Act as the primary point of contact for families receiving services at the location, addressing questions, concerns, and escalations.
● Provide and/or partner with CCO for clinical leadership to Clinical Supervisors, ensuring quality of care, clinical consistency, and adherence to organizational standards.
● Own management of Clinical Supervisors’ caseloads, including supervision ratios, acuity, and capacity.
● Determine timing of moving clients off the waitlist based on staffing capacity, authorizations, and operational readiness.
● Identify current and future staffing needs in alignment with census, utilization targets, and clinical demand; communicate proactively with leadership.
● Directly manage the Practice Manager, ensuring clinic operations, administrative workflows, and family communication are executed effectively.
● Partner with the assigned scheduler to ensure schedules are accurate, compliant, and aligned with authorizations, staffing availability, and clinical priorities.
● Serve as the escalation point for scheduling, staffing, and day-to-day operational issues within the clinic.
● Maintain working knowledge of clinic-level financial performance, including utilization, staffing efficiency, and service delivery trends.
● Use financial and operational data to inform staffing decisions, caseload adjustments, and waitlist management.
● Ensure clinic operations support timely service delivery, appropriate coverage, and a positive family and staff experience.
● Support onboarding and integration of new clinical and administrative staff.
● Ensure compliance with clinical policies, payer requirements, and organizational standards.
● Collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Clinical Operations and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and visibility.
● Conduct welcome phone calls and send onboarding emails for new staff and clients
● Act as the final interview touchpoint for staff assigned to the clinic, ensuring readiness, fit, and alignment with clinic expectations prior to hire.
Required SkillsRequired:
● Certified ABA Clinician (QSP, BCBA)
● 3–5 years of experience in ABA clinical service delivery.
● Strong understanding of caseload management, staffing models, and clinical supervision requirements.
● Ability to balance clinical quality with operational and financial considerations.
● Strong communication skills with families, staff, and leadership.
● Comfort serving as the on-site authority and escalation point.
● Prior experience in a clinic leadership or Clinical Lead role.
● Experience working closely with scheduling and operational teams.
● Exposure to clinic-level financials, utilization metrics, or budget management.
