Service Delivery Manager

Position Overview
OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster®. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Service Delivery Manager uses Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) data to ensure on-time product delivery. This key position demands strong organizational and communication skills to manage the flow of material through the value stream using our Kanban pull system. The Service Delivery Manager must have a strong understanding of product manufacturing and lean processes and will lead by example.
Position Responsibilities
  • Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing, providing direction and support to the Service Delivery team to meet customer demand.
  • Use our SIOP process to review production capability and recommend measures to improve output or identify alternative procurement options.
  • Review daily orders against inventory levels and manage the Kanban system.
  • Communicate with internal and external supply chains to ensure the availability of raw materials.
  • Regular interaction with the commercial team to identify internal or customer-driven events that could impact the established plan.
  • Conduct a weekly review to ensure policies and processes related to Kanban are followed throughout the value stream.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of Lean principles.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Familiar with Supply Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to use data to identify trends.
  • Team-oriented approach with a desire to work in a hands-on leadership capacity.
  • Good judgment, and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership plus a desire and willingness to institute change when needed.
  • PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite, and advanced use of Excel a plus.
  • Proficient with enterprise resource systems, QAD preferred.
  • Positive can-do attitude.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones.
  • The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 25
