POSITIONSUMMARY


Instructors will provide professional military education instruction to officers in the US Air Force and other servicesin developing innovative organizations capable of operating in dynamic, complex, and uncertain environmentsenabling officers toanticipatechangeand respond to the surprise/uncertainty of 21 st century warfare.Inalmost allcases,instructionwill be delivered online.Upon hiring, instructors willbe requiredto complete initial faculty development instruction and other requirements to beidentifiedby the Air Force Global College (AFGC). The AFGC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and provides competentcontractorand government faculty qualified toaccomplishthe organization’s goals and mission.


PROFESSIONAL (OPERATIONAL) QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant professional operational experience inLeadership and Ethics

  • Completion of Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) and/or Senior Developmental Education. Resident completionpreferred, butnotrequired.

  • JPME Phase I and/or Phase II


ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s orTerminal degree inOrganizational Leadership, Management, Public Administration, Human Resource Development, Ethics, Philosophy, ora relatedfield.

  • Record of special coursesor programs in leadership and/or ethics.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • A ssignmentsat the Squadronlevel or higher in the US Air Force or a sister service.Prefer candidates with Squadron commandor higher experience (USAF or sister service).

  • Service as aBranch Chief or higher at the Major Command level, on the Air Staff, or equivalent.

  • Expeditionary unit leadership or staff assignments, with deployment experience in such positions being a strong plus.

  • Authored publications ina related subject area.

  • Prioronline teaching experience (military or civilian)is a strong plus.
