Job Overview

The Assistant Controller will work directly with the Director of Finance and assist with overseeing the financial close process, accounting operations, and financial reporting. This role ensures accurate and timely financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP while supporting system improvements and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Manage and coordinate all activities necessary to close fiscal periods in accordance with the monthly closing schedule; ensure all journal entries are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

    Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by accounting staff.

    Oversee accounting operations including revenue, inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

    Oversee monthly financial reporting, including review of team-prepared analyses, and own all financial reporting to parent company (Getinge).

    Manage and enhance ERP system (NetSuite) and related financial systems to improve workflows and automation.

    Oversee procure-to-pay processes and act as administrator for procurement system.

    Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and other departments to resolve financial issues.

    Manage and mentor accounting team members, supporting development and productivity.

    Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support financial reporting and compliance requirements.

    Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors & support all audit activities.

    Support system implementations, process improvements, and other ad hoc projects as needed.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

    CPA preferred

    7+ years of accounting experience

    NetSuite experience strongly preferred

    Coupa experience preferred, not required

    Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP

    Excellent communication and organizational skills

    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

    Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel

US BASED SALARY - The minimum base salary for this position is $145,000 and the maximum salary is $165,000  plus 15% in annual bonus.
