Job Summaryย 

The Resident Relocation Coordinator is a key member of the relocation team responsible for managing and coordinating resident relocation activities across multiple project sites. This role works closely with residents, property management teams, construction partners, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth, compliant, andย timelyย relocation processes.ย 

The coordinator provides directย assistanceย to residents throughout the relocation process, including assessments, move coordination, counseling, documentation, and follow-up support. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple relocation tasks simultaneously whileย maintainingย compliance with federal, state, and local relocation regulations.ย ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

Resident Relocation Coordinationย ย 

  • Conduct resident assessments and surveys to understandย relocationย needs and preferences.ย 

  • Take inventory of tenant belongings and furniture, including documentingย large items, infestation issues, clutter, or hoarding concerns.ย ย 

  • Provide relocation counseling andย assistanceย in accordance withย applicable federal, state, and local regulations.ย 

  • Notify residents of relocation timelines and provide ongoing support throughout the moving process.ย 

  • Conduct follow-up check-ins with residents leading up to scheduled move dates.ย 

Site and Vendor Coordinationย ย 

  • Assistย with site setup activities andย identifyย vendors including movers, cleaners, and pest control companies.ย 

  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise moving activities and related services.ย 

  • Conduct pre-inspections of relocation units to ensure they meet safety and habitability standards before occupancy.ย ย 

  • Coordinate with construction teams, property management, development teams, and contractors to ensure relocation timelines are met.ย 

Resident Communicationย 

  • Facilitate resident and community meetingsย regardingย relocationย processes, rights, and benefits.ย 

  • Distribute relocation notices andย maintainย proof of resident receipt asย required.ย 

  • Act asย liaisonย between residents, property management, construction teams, and clients.ย ย 

  • Interface with residentsโ€™ families, social service providers, or other support resources when necessary.ย 

Documentation and Reportingย 

  • Maintainย accurateย relocationย files, documentation, and database records.ย 

  • Track relocation progress andย maintainย data reporting systems.ย 

  • Prepare weekly and monthly relocation reports for management and project stakeholders.ย 

  • Develop agendas and record minutes forย relocationย meetings and distribute withinย 48 hours.ย 

Move Logistics & Supportย 

  • Provide packing materials, tips, demonstrations, and movingย assistanceย to residents.ย 

  • Assistย with utility disconnections, reconnections, and address changes when needed.ย 

  • Ensure residents vacate units per relocation schedules and that units are properly secured afterย move-out.ย 

  • Document andย assistย in resolving claims related to property damage or loss during relocation.ย 

Education & Experienceย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.ย 

  • Experience in relocation services, property management, social services, customer service, or a related field preferred.ย 

  • Experience working with diverse populations and community-based programs is highly desirable.ย

  • Travel to and from project sites is expected.ย 

  • Occasional airline travel may beย required.ย
