Position Summary
The Maintenance amp; Reliability Manager is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive reliability program focused on asset performance and failure prevention. This role will drive a proactive maintenance culture centered on preventive and predictive maintenance strategies while overseeing parts inventory and purchasing functions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and champion a preventive and predictive maintenance strategy, shifting focus from reactive to proactive maintenance.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance procedures to ensure production goals are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis on critical equipment and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in quality assurance for new equipment builds and modifications to ensure adherence to functional specifications.
  • Review and enhance maintenance policies and procedures to improve program effectiveness and reduce asset downtime.
  • Create, optimize, and validate preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and frequencies.
  • Evaluate and develop spare parts requirements; partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain appropriate inventory levels for critical equipment.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability teams to align policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to maintenance technicians and supervisors.
  • Ensure technicians have proper training, tools, and support to complete work safely, effectively, and on schedule.
  • Develop team capability through training sessions, one-on-one coaching, performance evaluations, and technical development opportunities.
  • Complete performance evaluations for direct reports and ensure evaluations are conducted across the technical workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate outside inspections and provide project management support as needed.
  • Work flexible hours and travel as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience with a degree; or 15 years of technical experience without a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience leading technical teams.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be medically cleared to wear a respirator.
