What you'll do
As the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will lead and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient operations and optimal use of resources. You will oversee a team of maintenance mechanics, driving equipment reliability, maximizing uptime, and supporting ongoing skill development and engagement.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead proactive maintenance and reliability strategies to reduce unplanned downtime, extend asset life, and support overall operational performance. As part of the plant leadership team, you will oversee maintenance execution, preventive and predictive programs, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering closely with Production, Quality/Food Safety, Engineering, Sanitation, and Supply Chain.
You will lead a team of 11, including a Maintenance Team Leader, Parts Room/Planner, seven operations mechanics, and two preventive maintenance technicians.
How will you create impact?
Contribute to the achievement of the company's objectives by:
  • Developing and directing departmental strategies based on the Maintenance Pyramid outcomes to maintain focus on improving line efficiencies and to achieve business objectives.
  • Reviewing breakdowns that occur on sites and implement proactive actions / strategies to ensure they do not recur.
  • Developing the maintenance budget and managing costs related to repairs and spare parts.
  • Leading the optimization of maintenance processes and methods to reduce production line downtime.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance, analyze data, and implement corrective measures if necessary.
  • Collaborating and communicating with other plant management team members on various technical and key performance issues.
  • Engaging improvement opportunities and providing technical support for capital improvements.
  • Promoting and enhancing a positive and safe working environment through teamwork and high level of employee involvement.
  • Overseeing maintenance activities and implementing programs to ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
  • Recruiting, develop, and guide the maintenance department, ensuring team members have the skills needed to perform their tasks efficiently.
