Activities Director
Position Purpose
  • To provide guidance and direction for the school's sports programs.
  • Preparation of athletic budgets and allocation of spending (number of coaches, team travel, equipment purchases and facility upkeep).
  • Coordinate with coaches about the scheduling of games and practices. Collaborate with leagues about scheduling issues. Decisions on how to allocate time for a field, court, or weight room.
  • Coordinate officials and umpires at games and budget for their pay.
  • Work with other school employees and teacher's to assure student athletes are academically eligible for a given sport.
  • Evaluate all head coaches and oversee the evaluation of assistant coaches.
  • Responsible for scheduling outside groups to use the school sports facilities.
  • In charge of sportsmanship enforcement at all contests.
  • Will work closely with the Principal, coaches, grounds crew and teachers to ensure a safe and successful athletic season.
  • Ensure all KSHSAA guidelines are followed and all KSHSAA forms are submitted.
  • Master's degree in Educational leadership and current Certification in secondary administration required.
