Our customers are striving for breakthroughs in research instruments and medical diagnostic and surgical devices that will help scientists and medical professionals understand patient conditions and provide better treatment. Gener8 has offices in San Jose and Carlsbad, CA, Wilmington, MA, Indianapolis, IN and Cartago, Costa Rica.
This role will be responsible for engaging customers for our manufacturing products. Will handle daily administration tasks, interacting with customers and internally with Gener8 operations and sales. The key focus of the role is to engage with our customers buyers and operations team to better serve their ordering and fulfillment needs.
Job Responsibilities include:
  • Setting up new customers
    • G8 new customer form supplied to accounting
    • Set up customer account in QAD
    • Update customer code listing with new customers
    • Provide customers with our W9 and Payable Info
    • Provide customers with ISO/ROHS certs
    • Assist in filling out supplier questionnaires
  • Quoting (will receive help from VP Sales and Dir. Purchasing)
    • Quoting manufacturing products
    • Quoting manufacturing tooling, calibration, or test fixtures
    • Quoting service parts
    • Quoting Arena Doc Control Customer Licenses
    • Quoting time and material projects relating to manufacturing improvements
    • Quote RMA repair costs
    • Maintain Quote log
    • Quotes for new Engineering Services are the responsibility of Sales
  • Quotes for NPI projects are the responsibility of the NPI group Forecasting
    • Requesting and managing the customer forecasts
    • Notify sales and operations team with large changes
    • Negotiate push in and push out requests for changes to the delivery schedule whether originating from the customer or our Ops Team.
  • Updating customers on shipment status
    • Attend production backlog meetings as needed
    • Provide packing slips and copies of invoices if requested
  • Hosting customer status meetings as needed
  • Entering Purchase requisitions into QAD ERP to transfer material
Backup Responsibilities:
  • Order Entry
    • Entering manufacturing customer purchase orders
  • RMA
    • Create RMA in RMA tracker
    • Receive the RMA form from the customer
    • Transfer to the RMA coordinator
    • Update QAD with repair/replacement schedule
    • Request credit if needed
    • Host weekly RMA meeting
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics or Accounting
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar field
    • Advanced Level Excel skillset
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience with CRM, Salesforce.com, ERP (SAP, Oracle)
