We are looking for a Public Health Program Director 1 to lead an impactful rural health expansion project.


Position Details

  • Location: Nashville, TN
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tennessee residency required prior to start date)
  • Interview Process: Webcam or In-Person

Key Skills & Focus Areas

Primary Requirements

  • Program Leadership: 5+ years of progressive professional experience in public health program management.
  • Grant & Contract Management: Proven expertise managing contracts, scopes of work, budgets, and federal/state compliance.
  • System Procurement & Integration: Ability to act as a bridge between technical teams and software vendors to procure call center and case management platforms.
  • Data & Evaluation: Comfort analyzing public health metrics with epidemiologists to track program outcomes and impact.

Preferred Expertise

  • Specialized Knowledge: Background in Maternal, Fetal, & Infant Health or Rural Healthcare Systems.
  • Technical Assistance: Experience training and guiding community partners and grantees.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or a related field.

Position Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (37.5 hours/week)
  • Onboarding: Day 1 in-person laptop setup in Nashville, followed by a flexible hybrid schedule with periodic regional travel.
