Lead Proposal Manager

What does a successful Lead Proposal Manager do at Fiserv?

As a Lead Proposal Manager, you will collaborate with the deal team, including sales, proposal personnel, SMEs, and executive leadership, to complete and respond to various RFPs for merchants, financial institutions, and government entities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, content development, project and process management, and editorial review of proposal-specific responses, including tailoring executive summaries, cover letters, and other proposal-specific responses for the overall proposal submission. Additionally, you will manage ad hoc assignments such as updating existing content database information and maintaining a consistent brand through the creation and use of templates, presentation materials, graphics, and supporting tools. This is a fast-paced environment with many competing proposals in process, so you must be able to work independently and collaboratively from the outset.

What you will do:

  • Perform a detailed analysis of RFPs, you will prepare compliance matrices, outlines, and schedules in accordance with RFP and Proposal Operations guidelines.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent complex proposal efforts and teams simultaneously.
  • Identify, organize, and coordinate proposal resources, ensuring the completion of all assignments, reviewing all work, and adhering to internal quality control measures.
  • Develop original, customized content that reflects the approach and bolsters the Fiserv advantages.
  • Lead proposal teams in discussions on proposal win themes, value propositions, and other strategic messages will be part of your role.
  • Write detailed responses that convey the solution capabilities and advantages in language and concepts easily understood by others, with proper grammar and mechanics, and editing/revising skills.

What you will need to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced proposal environment in financial services/payment processing or similar field, responding to merchant, government and financial institutions RFPs.
  • Ability to understand and articulate client's business requirements into a cohesive, persuasive final product.
  • Exemplary organizational skills, including accuracy and timeliness, with the ability to manage multiple activities and meet established goals in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (for example, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, Mass Media or a related field

What would be great to have:

  • Proficient with Responsive (formerly RFPIO) or similar proposal automation software tools
  • Proficient in Shipley processes and standards
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding.
