The Senior Proposal Coordinator leads the development of high-quality, compliant, and persuasive proposals that support Ameresco's pursuit of complex energy and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in proposal management, marketing, and cross-functional coordination in an RFx environment. Success in this role requires the ability to manage competing deadlines and convert technical and marketing content into clear, compelling narratives. Reporting to the Director of Proposals & Marketing, this position partners closely with sales, engineering, and executive leadership to support capture strategy, manage proposal execution, and help win new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads coordination for persuasive, high-quality proposals through organizing pursuit teams, following RFP requirements, write and edit marketing and technical sections, graphic design, and formatting page layout;

  • Supports management and technical staff in pre-positioning activities, including capture planning, strategy development, and teaming arrangements as a member of the pursuit team;

  • Coordinates presentation development and interview prep sessions;

  • Supports development of Investment Grade Audits (IGAs);

  • Interfaces and cooperates with the regional marketing team for regional pursuits and supports as needed;

  • Organizes efforts of administrative and graphic design supporting marketing activities;

  • Develops qualifications packages, resumes, project descriptions, award submittals, and other custom marketing materials; and

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, technical writing, English, marketing, communications, business, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5 years of relevant proposal-related experience, preferably in the energy efficiency industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APMP certification, preferred.

  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies that support proposal development.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Adobe software, and SharePoint.

  • Strong document formatting, page design, and layout skills.

  • Solid organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work in collaborative (as well as virtual) team environments.

  • Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize meeting multiple deadlines.

  • Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.

  • Occasional travel, as needed, approximately 10%.

  • Self-starter and ability to work under deadlines.

Theanticipatedbase salary range for this role is$84,000 - $134,000.(presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity depending on the role.

Actual compensation will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
