Your Role: Director, Project Engineering
As Director, Project Engineering, you will lead the Clinton site's project engineering function, providing strategic oversight for capital project execution, site master planning, and contractor alliance management. In this role, you will guide a team of project engineers and external partners to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant capital projects that support the site's long-term operational and business objectives.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Clinton Site Master Plan and Site Capital Plan, including short- and long-term capital forecasting, recapitalization planning, and monthly project portfolio performance reporting
  • Provide leadership to project engineering staff, including performance management, coaching, succession planning, and development of a high-performing team
  • Drive safe execution of all engineering and construction activities by embedding HSE, environmental, and process safety principles into project design and contractor operations
  • Oversee site capital project portfolio execution, including capital approvals, cash flow tracking, budget alignment, and resource prioritization across business needs
  • Manage alliance contractor relationships, including contract ownership, labor agreements, productivity metrics, and performance oversight for external engineering/construction partners

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 8 years of project engineering, capital project management, or engineering leadership experience
  • Top 2 skills: Strong capital project leadership expertise combined with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Experience working directly with alliance contractors in a manufacturing or industrial site environment
  • Strong knowledge of facility construction estimating, design scheduling, and project controls (scope, cost, schedule, safety)
  • Prior supervisory or people-management experience leading technical teams
  • Proficiency with SAP project engineering modules and Veeva systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
