A Day in the Life of a Director of Quality

As Director of Quality, you will lead regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and performance monitoring across the organization, ensuring alignment with patient safety standards, accreditation requirements, and financial incentives. Collaborating with leadership and payor contract teams, you will integrate strategic quality initiatives that drive excellence in care and regulatory adherence. Your responsibilities include overseeing FPPE and OPPE processes, leading audits, and ensuring compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies while representing quality functions in key committees. You will also manage the Quality department’s daily operations, including staff supervision, budget oversight, and strategic planning, fostering a high-performing, compliance-driven environment. With strong analytical skills and a commitment to process improvement, you will interpret data, refine quality initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of patient care, staying ahead of evolving regulatory requirements to ensure continuous excellence.

  • Master's degree in nursing
  • 3 years of management principles, patient safety, risk management, physician credentialing and Joint Commission elements of performance experience
